Today's Picture to Ponder Photos
Pied-bill Grebe in Wakodahatchee Wetlands, swimming in one photo, getting ready to dive in the second.
Despite the swirl of energy in the top photo, the bird gives off the feeling of total peace and a feeling of serenity for me. Though the bird is barely visible in the lower photo, I share it here, again, because of the energy. It is so complete and directed as the bird dives for its prey.
Self-Reflecting Queries
As I gaze at the upper photo I'm noticing the circles and reminded of those times when I feel like I'm going around in circles, seemingly getting nowhere. In this photo the circles are created by the graceful, leisurely swimming of the grebe.
It occurs to me that I could grasp on to this visual image to remind myself to create a state of peace for myself, knowing that I am surely moving forward.
What comes up for you as you "be with" the grebe and the water?
The second photo is a reminder, I think, that although a lot of energy is being put forth, when it's focused and direct the opportunity for overall serenity exists.
Any further thoughts from you, in response to mine? What questions, if any come up for you as you get into the space of the water and reflections?
