TODAY'S PHOTO -
an Anhinga with widespread, backlit wings in Wakodahatchee Wetlands.

This anhinga, though it's his back we view, has been waiting in one of my files since December to greet you. Today seemed an appropriate time to bring him/her out. To me he/she is radiating joy and aliveness, with the sunlight coming through its wings.

We are radiating joy and celebration in our household as we reflect on our weekend. Our sons and their wives gave us a surprise 45th Wedding Anniversary party on Sunday. Amongst the miracles of the weekend was that among the several guests that had flown in from Philadelphia were my Aunt Mary, who celebrates her 90th birthday in a few months, and Cousin Susan who greeted us as we went outside to join one son and his wife for a planned dinner on Saturday night.

Aunt Mary and Susan are both subscribers to Picture to Ponder and were, of course, anxious to see Wakodahatchee. They were thrilled, to say the least, so today's photo is also included with them in mind. In the lower right, though not very visible, are the cypress knees which I had pointed out to Susan.

Party photos of family and friends can be seen in the first album in my Yahoo Photo Albums. Upon clicking on that link you will actually see several albums, including one with last week's hibiscus.

SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
In Issue 165 I asked a couple of questions - what pride can you claim in yourself and of what in your life are you most proud? Have you been reflecting upon these questions? I received a couple of interesting responses from readers and am realizing myself how vocal sharing expands that pride.

The pride I expressed in my family on Friday has been expanded in even greater measures, if such is possible, as I listen to family and friends share about the beauty of their experiences with our all of the grandchildren, and our sons and daughters-in-law, as well as my brother's and cousin's daughters. This is one of the interesting outcomes of the weekend. Several stayed over at our son's house and many were there for some time before we got there on Sunday.

In order for me to be "listening" there needs to be people "speaking." Who in your life can you be acknowledging for the people in their lives and what you see as their contributions to you and the world?

AUDIO TESTIMONIALS -
Have you yet checked out the 28 second message from Sondra,

who shares the impact on her life of a custom photo/drawing of her father done by me?

Have you listened to Judith Tramayne-Barth and Renee Kleckner on our AUDIO LINKS page, where Judith also describes how easy it is to record a message? I'd love to have your voice there also. A sentence or two is more than enough, if you are person of a few words.

I will publish the link for yours in Picture to Ponder and on the testimonial page on the eteletours site. You can call in yourself at (214) 231-2905 ext 6956 or, if you wish, e-mail me to set a time and I can call you and 3-way you in and simply listen while you talk.
