TODAY'S
PHOTO -
an opened orange pod with seeds.
This particular orange pod has intrigued me for
some time, mainly for the shape of the pod and somewhat
for it's texture. Also, for some reason it's always
been difficult for me to get a clear shot of it.
As a matter of fact, a blurry one, which I love
and classified with my "Accidental Art",
was the featured photo in Issue
2, described in Issue
3.
It was only very recently that I spotted one
that was open and saw the red seeds. It's the
humor I see in the face that has me include this
newer photo today. Sam says that it's definitely
a "puppet."
Regarding the identity of
the pod, Janine Bacquie, subscriber and unofficial
"Identifier of Plants" for us, wrote that
these seed pods belong to the balsam apple, the
same vine as the yellow flower, which she identified
for us several issues ago (Issue
147) as being noxious. She went on to say that
the seeds are slightly poisonous so care is necessary
where children may encounter the plant.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
Can you recall situations or people that held unexpected
surprises for you when you took them apart - looked
inside?
If disappointed, have you allowed time for nurturing
and growth? I'm thinking as I'm writing, if I had
attempted to cut open one of the orange pods months
ago, the inside would have been totally different.
It broke out and showed it's seeds/potential when
it was ready.
AUDIO TESTIMONIALS -
Check out the new 28
second message from Sondra, who shares how a
custom photo/drawing of her father, done by Sheila,
provided a major breakthrough for her in being able
to get past her many years of grief at his loss,
so that she can now enjoy photos of him.
Judith
Tramayne-Barth wrote to say, "When I wanted
to make an audio for Sheila, she made it really
easy for me. She called me and set up a 3 way call
so I could record how wonderful I think her ezine
is and her artwork. I am sure she will do the same
for you. And she didn't even mind the blooper I
made about her art site name. (LOL)."
Check out Judith's and other Audio Testimonials
on the new AUDIO
LINKS page.
I'd love to have your voice there also. A sentence
