TODAY'S PHOTO -
green cane and ocean bubbles on Delray Beach, Florida.
My 4th of July started with a beautiful walk on
Delray Beach, timed to get there just before the
6:30 AM sunrise. Although the sunrise was interesting
as small clouds painted a mini picture across a
portion of the rising sun, the true joy for me this
particular morning was walking along the beach exploring
and feeling the warm water on my toes.
The walk had been unplanned and once the sun was
up I knew I needed to be walking. I took off my
socks and shoes, tied them together, slung them
over my shoulders, and started walking. I fully
enjoyed experiencing the play of the water on the
seaweed, sand and other objects on the wet shoreline.
When I got home and downloaded
the photos, I found that I had taken over 250! They
included the fisherman that was casting his net
before sunrise and the Michigan girl and her grandfather
enjoying the ocean for the first, and last, time
before their trip home. You can expect some of these
photos to show up here in the next days and, undoubtedly,
in the future.
Walks are great for ideas popping up. Looking at
the random patterns of seaweed, and what got caught
up in it, had me think of a new term, NATURal COLLAGES.
The pull for me in today's photo is mainly the bubbles.
I've never captured so many bubbles of such a large
size! In addition I like their rhythm and the play
of them around the last of whatever that plant life
had been.
Sam said that at first he got the feeling of "antique."
Though it is the palm stalks (or whatever they are),
when I looked at the imagery through "antique"
eyes, I saw the suggestion of the top of a broken
chair.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES
-
I'm sure I've included, at least once in an earlier
issue, one of my favorite quotes:
If you are seeking creative ideas, go out
walking. Angels whisper to a man when he goes for
a walk. Raymond Inmon.
Have you done any walking lately, using it as a
time to observe and check for new ideas and creative
thoughts? Or, are you aware of what it is for you
that will generate new ideas in a joyful, peaceful
way.
Interestingly, when I was in Google to double check
the quote above, I came across a relevant article
that some of you might appreciate -
"Want to Expand your Business? Try Walking
in the Grass," by Diana Hughes. See ARTICLE.
Enjoy!
