Today's Picture to Ponder Photos
The very early stages of what I used to think was the stem of a banana peeking out from the flower pod petals that encased it. I've since discovered that the bananas are attached from the bottom part.
I hope that the wise, old lady face that I see brings you the same smile that I experience every time I see it. I was searching for a particular flower photo today and this one kept popping out at me.
She reminded me that I promised to feature her some time ago. I love the whimsy here and the reddish purple colors on the pod petals.
The lower photo presents one layer of a bunch of emerging bananas insde the mostly open petals for that segment.
My love affair with banana trees started with the first I saw in the American Orchid Society Gardens a few months after we moved to Florida. For those new to Picture to Ponder, I have featured a variety of photos in several issues, including Issue 93, Vol2 - 81 and Vol2 - 86. You'll also find links in them to photo/drawings on my Naturesplayground.com site.
Self-Reflecting Queries
Today, I leave the most of the query forming up to you. For me, I'm in the inquiry of and wondering about paying attention to what shows up, such as today's featured photo. I've shared and now will wait to see if there was an underlying reason for it.
It might simply have been the freedom to have fun and be fully self-expressed. What might that look like for you?
smARTist Telesummit
a 7-Day Artist Career Global conference with 17 workshops, by telephone. MP3 recordings will be available after each of the sessions, so you don't miss anything if you cannot be on the calls.
From the registrant bonus materials themselves, I have already learned some new things that will be making a difference on my web sites. For registrants and non-registrants alike, there are also downloadable complimentary tips simply for visiting the site.
It was the phone interview with publicist Joan Stewart that had me say, "I want more." You, too, can now hear this interview. Go to smARTist Telesummit Scroll down on that page and click on any of the links for the page with the opening reception call. Once there, the Joan Stewart call is the third up from the bottom. (As I write this, the description is missing).
You can also check the other pre-conference recordings to get a sense of the presenters, to read about the contents and to register at Telesummit. (back to Today's Photos)
