Today's Picture to Ponder Photo
When is a bird not a bird?

When it's a Fireflag Leaf silhouetted at Sunset in Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Over the past two years many of you have experienced the variety of images I've seen in the Fireglag leaves and plants. They often intrigue me and become personified for me.

Last week the leaf above attracted my attention since, at first glance, it looked so much like a bird. I've cultivated the habit of stopping, or at least pausing, whenever something catches my eye during a walk. Sometimes when I'm driving and see something special, I'll also pull over and reach for my camera. The bonus is that often there is so much more in the photo than originally noticed, in this case the beautiful sunset.

Self-Reflecting Queries
Today's query comes more from my top announcement of my new website, sheilafinkelstein.com.

Branding ourselves with our names, as artists, is one of the big things that was major for me during the smARTist Telesummit which I highlighted a couple of weeks ago.

In addition to this, five of my photographs are being used for the cover inserts for a series of meditation cds which will be launched shortly. I put ©eteletours.com in the images and I was voted down and told it should be my name, ©Sheila Finkelstein. It's my work.

I think I was getting hit in the head, so-to-speak, and I'm paying attention!

Are there places in your life where you are not owning your name, your contribution, your place? We are no longer children. It's not "bragging" when we speak of, and honor, outselves. And wouldn't it be, isn't it great, when children are taught to speak their worth? It's simply owning who we are.

It becomes "simple" when we make it a habit. So, are there places in your life where you are hiding who you are? I invite you to come out and speak your name and proudly be yourself.

I often find peace and healing when I open up a flower photo, larger than can be used in Picture to Ponder, and spend time
being with and studying it on my computer monitor.

You, too, can open up one of the beautiful flowers that are in PICTURES TO PONDER: Inspired Journaling almost fill your screen with it, and then "step into" the image.

The high resolution, set for printing, has the photographs capable of maintaining their quality at magnification as much as 300%. And, of course, the queries that went with the flowers are here also. For more information and to purchase, go to Downloadable Book.
