Today's Picture to Ponder Photo
Dendrobium orchids in front of waterfalls in the American Orchid Society Gardens greenhouse

Today, as I was searching for a photo to feature, this one jumped out at me. It seems to, literally, have a third dimension, perhaps because of the sharp contrast of almost reds and greens - opposites on the color wheel.

Susan Taylor, our newest expert friend identified it for me. Susan is the Orchids Editor on the BellaOnline: Voice for Women site. If you are an orchid lover you might want to connect with the wealth of information she has on her ORCHID SITE.

Self-Reflecting Queries
Because I need to move on to work way overdue on completion promises for the first Picture to Ponder photo/journal, I am going to pass on "Queries" for this issue.

Interestingly, this is very painful for me. I feel like I might be disappointing some readers AND I am reassuring myself that I am sticking to my very first commitment - to deliver a photo for appreciating and/or pondering.

Ok, so we do have some possibilities for "quick" queries here, after all, AND it occurs to me to leave it for you to create them for the day. I invite you to post them on the Blog, where you'll see the current issue
and a link at the end for Posting Comments.

Latest Discoveries
My passion for discovery, and sharing my discoveries, I believe are two of the elements that are factors in having PICTURE TO PONDER be the success that it is. Mostly it's my passion for discovery in Nature that you experience here. And, this past week, I discovered two business-related finds that I am excited to share.

For the WRITERS among you - On a teleclass where I was a participant last week, I was most impressed with all the information and resources that Jeff Herring, The Article Guy, had to offer. As a writer for Knight Ridder publications, with articles reaching 8 million people a week, Jeff gave an amazing comparative statistic of the percentage of his business that comes from the web. I highly recommend checking out his site, www.thearticleguy.com for free information, as well as for the programs he offers.

For the PHONE USERS among you, in the United State, Canada and US territories, who might have the need to make international calls, I'd recommend checking out Tel3's program . I am working with a coach now who lives in Canada, thus a search for the best phone rates. The rate with my phone company is 5 cents a minute, IF I were to add another $3.00 flat rate to my current plan. I was, thus, thrilled to find 1.9 cents a minute. I've used the service and it's great.

Orchids in the Gift Shop
