TODAY'S PHOTO -
butterfly on passion flower vine on our privacy fence

In addition to the passion flowers, one of the delights of this vine, which is rapidly covering our fence, is the number of butterflies it attracts. In checking the archives for links to photos of the flowers I've featured here, I see there was only one from this backyard passion flower. See ARCHIVES and click on Vol 2 - Issue 28. I'll rectify that in the near future.

Although the butterfly is somewhat blurred in the photo above, there is something appealing overall to both me and Sam in the picture. Sam said that it made him think of prints on fabrics in one of the companies for whom he used to do some work.

I like the contrast of the bold straight lines and the delicate curves of the vine. It provides a rhythm. Perhaps it is the Rhythm of Life showing up here.

SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
two quick queries only for the day. Because of the blurriness of aspects of the photo, I say that this is not a "perfect" picture and yet it works.

Are there places in your life where you are waiting for perfection before you act or accept? If you stepped back and looked again at the overall "picture" of the situation, can you see where it does, or can, "work?"

Have a weekend filled with fun, inspiration and discovery.
