TODAY'S
PHOTO -
yellow Gerber Daisies
This week's Publix Supermarket find were these yellow
gerber daisies which are quite different from last
week's burgundy red ones in Issue
170. The gerber daisies last week were fuller,
velvety and faced outward far more than these yellow
ones. See RED
GERBER DAISIES.
I've been fascinated with the way today's flowers
have stayed uplifted, facing skyward (or ceiling since
they're in the house) all week. I bring them to you
today for the simplicity and "upliftingness"
of them.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
Once again, this morning, as I passed by the flowers
I noticed how erect and facing upward they are still,
with their bright sunshiney colors. I began to think
of the people I know who always seem to be bright,
cheerful and uplifting.
Who do you know who is always count-on-able for being
uplifting and positive? Have you acknowledged them
recently for that and the difference they make in
your life?
And, in a totally different conversation - I've taken
countless photos of these flowers this week in an
attempt to convey the feeling I was getting from them.
The reason for so many photos is simply that I am
working in the dark, so-to-speak, to find the right
lighting and background to show them off.
I was reminded that I've been sitting for a few weeks
with unopened material from a photography course in
which I've invested. I noticed yesterday that lighting
and "perfectly exposing the most difficult shots"
are among the chapters covered.
This stalling and figuring it out my way reminds me
of all the times I've taken the more difficult path
because it felt easier and safer. It's certainly "less
trouble" to follow more familiar patterns than
to take on new ones. On the other hand, my experience
has shown me that in the long run it's been far more
efficient and long-range time-saving to spend some
current time in learning new ways of doing things,
rather than continuing to postpone it. Ironically,
the "new way" often winds up becoming the
"easier way."
Are there areas in your life
where investing a little time now in learning something
new could save you time on an ongoing basis? Perhaps
there's an action on which you've been stalling
that once you take it, you'll find how simple it
was. I invite you to do that now.
AUDIO TESTIMONIALS -
Have you yet checked out the 28 second message from
Sondra,
who shares the impact on her life of a custom photo/drawing
of her father done by me?
Have you listened to Judith Tramayne-Barth and Renee
Kleckner on our AUDIO
LINKS page, where Judith also describes how easy
it is to record a message? I'd love to have your voice
there also. A sentence or two is more than enough, if
you are person of a few words.
I will publish the link for yours in Picture to Ponder
and on the testimonial
page on the eteletours site. You can call in yourself
at (214) 231-2905 ext 6956 or, if you wish,
e-mail me to set a time and I can call you and 3-way
you in and simply listen while you talk.
