TODAY'S
PHOTO -
unidentified pod in a plant in front of our home.
We have lived in our home in Southeast Florida for
the past two and a half years and last week I noticed
something in the front bedding of our home that I
had never seen before. In the midst of a widespread
plant I noticed several
pods, many of which were rich brown in color [click
link for a fuller view].
Of course, I went for my
camera and took several photos, intending to document
their progress, waiting to see what opened up from
them in the next few days. And then, since they
are so anonymous-looking, nestled deep within the
leaves, I forgot about them after a day or two.
When I went to check on them today I saw that, evidently,
the only thing that happens is they open up only
as full as the one we see above [and in a
second view], and they then shrivel up and die.
Sam and I chose, as today's featured photo, the
particular view above for its color and variety.
For those who like to play with these photos, there
are a few different images to be found within, including
the two eyes that I saw boldly challenging me when
I returned to my computer after a short break.
SELF-REFLECTING QUERY
-
What is challenging you right now? Are there places
in your life where you might not be seeing things
that are right in front of you? Might there be one
thing, or more, that could impart growth and expansion
for you before it shrivels up and dies?
