Today's Picture to Ponder Photos
Orchids in the American Orchid Society greenhouse - The upper photo is a white phalaenopsis; the lower, a cattleya.

When I began to look at today's photos as a grouping, rather than two separate pictures, I observed that the magenta color in both photos is one element that holds them together. Once I made that observation, I noticed the tip of magenta on the right, highlighting the bit of the profile of a second white phalaenopsis orchid.

Self-Reflecting Queries
Two distinctly different queries open up as I write.

1. When I started paying attention to the color in the above photos, looking for commonalities, something totally new opened up to me, as I described above.

I, now, invite you to look for commonalities among the people and activities in your life. Are there untapped areas wherein noticing one new thing could open up many more?

2. Featuring two different photos today was, once again, initiated by my "need to please." The white phalaenopsis orchid, from Sam's and my Sunday visit to the AOS gardens, is what I kept intermittently visualizing as the one to be featured today. After inserting it into the format, I became concerned that some of you might think it too close to Friday's lysanthius, so I added the second orchid, also, to me, stunningly beautiful.

Where are the places in your life where you are acting from the stance of pleasing others? Do you really know what will please them or are you operating out of your own made-up stories? If any specific circumstances come up for you, I invite you to check out, "Does it really matter if you are right in what they want from you?" Do your actions forward you? Do they forward them?
