TODAY'S PHOTO -

On a recent walk the textures in one of the very tall palm trees caught my attention. (See PALM SKY for a view of the skyward view of the tree top) Needless to say I took quite a few photos, horizontal and vertical views, traveling up the tree.

I particularly like this one because of the contrasts of the light and the dark, as well as the contrast of the wispiness with the strong lines and shapes. There is also an air of mystery looking to draw me into and beyond the center.

For those of you who enjoy finding images in our Picture to Ponder photos, Sam likes the "Kissing Face" that he sees. I did need him to point it out to me and it still took a while. If you want to see what Sam did, go to the almost triangular, large light shape left of center. On a profile view, there is a large triangular eye (almost feels like an eye with long lashes) looking to the left near the top, a large mouth at the very bottom and a very tiny nose right above this.

SELF-REFLECTING QUERIES -
Have you been paying attention to things in your environment which might contain more than one view if you look at it closely and from a variety of angles? I invite you to do so and then, before you tell what you see, have at least one other person look at the same thing or space to see what they see?

After you've both spent time with the same overall image, each of you share what you've seen and possibly further a conversation around that.

Those of you who enjoy writing, might want to also write from the above photo, the mystery that's there, or anything else that calls to you.
