Today's Picture to Ponder Photos
looking up at the Seeds in two different Palm Trees

As we walked in our neighborhood recently, I became increasingly aware ot the seeds of the palm trees. and started taking photographs. Later, when viewing them, on my computer I was particularly attracted to the top photo. I think it's the overall layout and the contrast between the curved and straight lines, as well as the variation in their sizes.

I'm drawn to the second photo of the seeds nestled in among the fronds, or leaves, because of the feeling I get of both abundance and protection.

Ironically, they were not very protected because this week all the palm trees in our community are being pruned, in part to protect them and us against potential damage from high winds, especially in the upcoming, June through October, declared hurricane season here in Florida.

Self-Reflecting Queries
Today's queries are ending up in two totally different directions.

FIRST
As a result of my intrigue this week with the seeds, I started paying attention to the cuttings left on the ground for grinding and removal later in the day. I was amazed at the weight of the seed pod.

As I started writing here today, I stopped to share my experience with my visiting cousin Sandy who lives in Kerala, India. As a result, I got a small portion of what she said could be a whole day's lesson on the multitude of different uses of EVERY part of the coconut fruit, as well as the fronds, trunk and bark of the tree.

As you, who've been subscribing for a while, know, when I become intrigued with something, my camera is the first thing that comes out, if it's at all visual. I'll then go to Google and sometimes, when I remember that I can ask for contribution, I will ask others.

Are you aware of your learning style and the most satisfying ways for you to process information? If so, do you readily use this? What's available for you when you do so?

If you are not sure of your preferred modes of learning, I invite you to observe yourself for the next week to see if there is anything new that you can use to empower yourself.

The SECOND and totally different conversation -
I stated at the beginning that I was really attracted by the overall look of the top photo. When I went back to it a few days later, I suddenly noticed the fuzzy, ball-like image in the almost-center section of the photo. Once I saw that, the good feeling that I had dissipated and the "sore spot" fought for my attention.

This brings us back to the whole focus experiences that have been the subject for several of our Picture to Ponder queries.

Are there places in your life now where what you may be calling "negative" experiences are overshadowing the overall
picture? If so, I invite you to once again step back and see what's available for you if you refocus on the whole.

As always, have fun with the queries.
