Today's Picture to Ponder Photos
three views of Orange Hibiscus Flowers from one of our Hibiscus bushes
In the first, I obviously closed in on the center of the flower. This view will be particularly fun for
those who, along with me, enjoy finding faces in images. This one has a young princess, a star who enjoyed playing with rouge and overdid her eyes cheeks and mouth. Maybe it was lipstick rather than rouge. She certainly had a steady hand.
The second and third photos speak for themselves. In the middle one, the rain or dew drops on the bottom petals, much more visible in the original larger version of the photo, are quite lovely.
In the third photo of the bud, it's the curvaceous grace of the barely opening petals that particularly appeals to me.
Self-Reflecting Queries
We can use today's photos to, once again, look at focus.
In the top photo, there are, seemingly, clear choices - either the stamen or the dark center and the whole area emanating from it, completely filling the space.
In the second and third photos, where we now have the introduction of the leaves to the space, there is a lot more in the background to consider. Is this distracting, or does it add to the overall experience for you? Which of the three photographs most appeal to you and why?
Are there situations in your life right now where it would serve you to really zoom in, or use a (figurative) "macro lens," as I used with the camera for photo 1? Conversely are there places where stepping out and seeing everything surrounding the situation would empower what you are up to?
As always, have fun with the queries.
For Coaches
- Fourth Photo
As I am starting to focus in on developing a Toolkit for Using Photography as Access to Transformation, I will, from time-to-time, be adding a special photo for coaches to use with their clients. You are all welcome to click on it.
The fourth hibiscus photo did not visually and aesthetically fit with the other three as a unit today. I've therefore made it a separate link. See TOOL KIT FOR COACHES.
