TToday's Picture to Ponder Photos
a Full Moon as we walked in our Boynton Beach, Florida neighborhood the other night
In the top photograph, I am intrigued with the feeling I get from the moon, as if I am looking at a picture of a globe with several of the continents on it. The rust color at the bottom of the photo is that of the clay roof tiles.
In the second photo, I like the unexpected feeling that a segment of a few of leaves give off. They seem to be part of the moon, rather than in front of it.
The bottom photo produces the most visceral feeling in me, one of mystery.
Self-Reflecting Queries
As I was going through these, and the 30 or more other photos I took while playing with "framing" the moon, it felt like I was looking at collages rather than photographs, causing the feeling of being even more of a distant observer than usual.
I have been pondering for a few days now the queries that might come from this. As a "collage" the scenes seem surreal, or artificial.
I am wondering does this then become a query to look for places in our lives where we are being artificial or where circumstances seem unreal?
In the process of all this stuckness, I have been dawdling on getting out this issue of Picture to Ponder and "enough is enough." I am now sending it out for you to simply enjoy the photos, or not, and to make your own connections with less prompting than usual from me.
If there is a place in your life right now where you are feeling stuck, I invite you to take a simple action. Anything that will move you ever so slightly forward, or be an act of completion, will do.
And, remember to have fun with what you choose to do. It's not necessary to make it mean something!
